5 Tips for keeping a Healthy Head in COVID19 !

Following the release of our Ozzie Wright x Boardsox Collaboration that donates 10% to One Wave is all it takes, helping people deal with conquering their mental health issues by salt water and surfing.

We thought we would give our top 5 tips for staying healthy in the head throughout the COVID pandemic.

1) Get a morning routine

Getting the day started on a positive note sets you up for the rest of your day. Set an alarm clock for early as you can. Try and be consistent about getting up at the same time. Make the most of the best part of the day, it will clear your head and you can start the day off right with some exercise, meditation or journal writing.

2)  Get your daily dose of Vitamin SEA

Ever had a bad day then got in the water and suddenly you've got a big smile on your face? yep us too. Getting in the water once a day is not only good for you physically to get your body moving with exercise but also seawater contains minerals such as magnesium, sodium, calcium, chloride, and sulphate that work as natural cosmetics for our skin.

Time in nature has also scientifically shown to reduce anxiety and depression so get out there, swimming, surfing, spear-fishing or foiling and everything in between, it is all about getting in the big blue.

3) Feeling down? Tell a friend or loved one

Open communication can seem intimidating to express how you are truly feeling but getting something off your chest and out of your head will help you in the long run. It can also open up communication with your friends about issues they may be dealing with. If you aren't able to have these conversations with a friend, family member, or loved one to express how you are feeling then these services below are always available
