Every surfboard has three key measurements:

• Length (L) – Nose to tail (e.g. 6’0”)
  
• Width (W) – The widest point of the board (e.g. 21”)
  
• Thickness (T) – The depth of the board (e.g. 2 7/8”)
  

You’ll usually find these written on the underside of your board near the stringer, and may look like the photo below. 👇

When choosing a cover, the length is the easy part — we cut and sew any length you need. The real thing to consider is how your board actually fits inside the bag. That means looking not just at the width, but also the thickness of your surfboard. Different boards carry their volume in different ways, so two boards with the same width can still fit very differently.

Taking both width and thickness into account ensures your Boardsox cover fits like a glove.

Surfboards are not flat - yet our canvas bags are. So you need to take into account the thickness of your surfboard.

Option 1

Option2.

Grap a tape measure

Place one end on the middle of the left rail and then over to the middle of the right rail. This will take into account the thickness of your surfboard.

Then = match your measurement with the size charts below. Making sure the width is less than the size chart specifications below

👉 A shortboard needs to have the final equation equal to less than 22 inches wide/ 53cm (any bigger it won't fit)

👉 A funboard needs to have the final equation equal to or less than 24 inches wide/ 58cm ( and bigger than that, it won't fit)

👉 A Longboard needs to have the final equation equal to or less than 25 inches/ 63cm wide ( any bigger it won't fit)

Remember we can make the surfboard cover any length with our canvas covers, but we cannot change the width.
