Boardsox Warranty & Repairs Policy
At Boardsox, we stand behind the quality and durability of the products we make.
Our products are designed for real surf life, which means sun, salt, sand, travel and regular use. Our warranties cover genuine defects in materials and workmanship when a product has been used for its intended purpose and cared for reasonably.
They do not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or damage caused by external factors.
Nothing in this warranty limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Canvas Surfboard Covers
Lifetime Warranty
Boardsox Canvas Surfboard Covers are covered by our Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
What We Mean by Lifetime Warranty
For Boardsox Canvas Surfboard Covers, “Lifetime Warranty” means the reasonable usable life of the product while it is owned by the original purchaser.
It does not mean the lifetime of the customer, and it does not mean the product will remain in new condition indefinitely.
The reasonable usable life of a Canvas Surfboard Cover will depend on factors such as:
• How often the cover is used
• How it is cared for
• The conditions it is exposed to
• The way it is transported and stored
• The type and level of wear it experiences
Surfboard covers are working pieces of surf equipment and are exposed to sun, salt, sand, wax, fins, roof racks, vehicles, travel and regular handling.
Normal ageing, fading, abrasion and deterioration through use are not considered manufacturing defects.
The Lifetime Warranty covers genuine manufacturing faults such as:
• Defective stitching or seams
• Manufacturing defects in the canvas or materials
• Faulty components caused by a manufacturing defect
• Construction faults that prevent the cover from performing as it was reasonably designed to perform
If we confirm that a Canvas Surfboard Cover has failed because of a manufacturing defect during its reasonable usable life, Boardsox will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with this warranty and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
This may include repair, replacement or another appropriate remedy depending on the nature of the fault.

Repairs
We believe repairing good gear is better than throwing it away.
Products used around surf, sand and travel can become damaged over time even where there is no manufacturing fault.
Where practical, Boardsox may be able to repair products that fall outside warranty or have been damaged through use.
Examples of non warranty repairs may include:
• Tears and punctures
• Worn areas
• Damaged hardware
• Damaged closures
• Travel damage
• General wear and tear
• Accidental damage
Repair requests are assessed individually.
Where the damage is not covered under warranty, repair charges and shipping costs may apply.
We will advise you of any repair costs before carrying out the repair.
We cannot guarantee that every damaged product can be repaired.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact Boardsox and provide:
• Your name and contact details
• Proof of purchase or other reasonable evidence of purchase
• The approximate purchase date
• A description of the issue
• Clear photographs showing the fault or damage
• Photographs of the complete product where requested
We may ask for additional photographs or information so we can properly assess the claim.
In some cases, we may need the product returned to Boardsox for inspection before determining whether the issue is covered.
Please do not return a product without contacting us first.
If a claim is confirmed as being covered by the Boardsox warranty, Boardsox will cover reasonable return shipping costs associated with the approved claim.
If, after assessment, the damage is found not to be covered by warranty, the customer may be responsible for shipping costs associated with returning the product.
