Sizing
Available 5'6 to 7'0. Order the size that matches your board.
A 6'7 board takes the 6'7. You do not size up for your fins and you do not size up for the nose. We cut that room in, which is what stock sizes made here buy you over brackets cut offshore.
Fins stay in on every size, glass ons included.
Ride a fish or a funboard and take the Fish and Fun instead, which is cut wider through the middle.
Board outside this range? Custom lengths are a separate product.
- Your board, at its wide point
- up to 53cm (21in)
- This cover, laid flat
- 22in
- Lengths available
- 5'6 to 7'0, plus custom
Two numbers, and they measure different things. The first is your board. The second is the cover. The cover is wider because it has to go on and off.
FAQ
Does wax stick to the cover?
No. Both faces carry a wax and water resistant coating, which is the whole reason Boardsox exists. This is worth being precise about, because canvas on its own does not solve it. A polyester sock soaks wax up and hands it back to your car, and a plain cotton canvas cover does exactly the same thing. Ours is treated on the inside face and the outside face. Leave a waxed board in this on a 35 degree day and it comes out the way it went in, and your back seat stays clean.
What size should I order?
The size that matches your board. This cover runs 5'6 to 7'0. A 6'7 board takes the 6'7. If your board falls outside these sizes, we take custom orders as a separate product.
Will it fit a wide board?
Measure your board at its wide point. This cover takes boards up to 53cm, or 21in. The cover itself is 22in laid flat, and that extra is the room it needs to slide on and off. If your board is wider than that, the next cover up is the one you want.
Is this padded?
In the nose, yes. Every canvas cover we make has 5mm of padding over the nose, which is the end that goes into the boot first and comes back dinged. No other board sock on the market has any padding at all. The body is left unpadded on purpose, because that is what keeps the cover light enough to use every single day. If you are flying with a board, the zipperless range is padded throughout with 5mm high density foam and 3D rail protection.
How long will it last?
Longer than the polyester sock it replaces, which is the point. Looked after properly, one of these lasts twenty years. Rinse it in fresh water, dry it in the shade, store it dry. And if it ever does need fixing, we repair it free. We made it here, so the person repairing it is the person who sewed it.
Warranty
Lifetime warranty against manufacturing faults on every canvas cover. A seam, the stitching, the drawstring: if it fails, we repair it, replace it or refund it, for as long as you own the cover.
Repairs are free. We cut and sew these in Ocean Grove, so a claim goes to the people who made your cover rather than to an importer waiting on the next container. We also run The Wetsuit Repair Shack out of the same building, so fixing gear instead of binning it is how we already work.

Easy on. Easy off.
A snug recycled-canvas sock that keeps the sun, dings, wax and heat off your board between surfs. Woven from recycled plastic bottles, water and wax resistant inside and out, with a reinforced padded nose — and it breathes, so no mould or mildew.
Built better. Made to last.
Crafted from recycled plastic bottles, our canvas covers protect your board from dings, scratches and UV — and outlast the nylon stretch socks that end up torn and in landfill.

Why a Boardsox Canvas Surfboard Cover beats a cheap polyester sock.
It's the whole reason we make them. A heavy woven canvas cover protects your board and lasts — a thin polyester sock wears thin, holds moisture and ends up in landfill.
