The importance of sun protection.

Surfers spend hours in the water under some of the harshest UV conditions in the world. In Australia, skin cancer is the most common cancer, and 2 out of 3 Aussies will be diagnosed with skin cancer before the age of 70. For surfers, the risk is even higher: studies show surfers have up to three times the incidence of skin cancers compared to the general population, thanks to the combination of reflection off the water, long sessions in peak UV hours, and constant sun exposure on the face, neck, and ears.
